Softball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Takes a Loss

Mt. Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the Middletown Islanders.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Middletown, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will challenge Times Squared Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22 runs per game on average), something the Kilties will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Middletown, they will venture away from home to square off against Tiverton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Islanders surely won't give up without a fight.
