Football Recap: Leakey Eagles vs. Eden Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Menard, Leakey was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Eden Bulldogs, posting a 68-33 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Leakey had a senior duo take command as Owen Hankins rushed for 237 yards and two TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per carry and Aden Rhiver gained 141 total yards and six touchdowns. Rhiver also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up three sacks, forcing one fumble, and making six total tackles (5.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. Aiden Hernandez got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Leakey was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 309 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
