Basketball Recap: Astronaut Comes Up Short

Astronaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Boone Braves 68-41. While losing is never fun, the War Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 627th, while the Braves are ranked 222nd).

Boone's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Summer, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of BJ Davis, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Astronaut's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Boone, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-12.

Astronaut didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-41 defeat against Hagerty on the 29th. As for Boone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-44 loss against Lake Mary on the 29th.
