Recap: Holtville Bulldogs vs. Demopolis Tigers
It was a good run, but The Holtville Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Demopolis on the road and fell 32-2. Having soared to a lofty 46 points in the game before, Holtville couldn't push the score so high this time.
Keiland Baker threw for 65 yards on seven of 15 attempts. Caleb Blackmon was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Daishaun Zeigler rushed for 40 yards.
Holtville's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Demopolis, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Holtville will be playing at home against Elmore County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Demopolis, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Greenville: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Demopolis has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
