Volleyball Recap: Gainesville Comes Up Short

Gainesville's tournament run continued when they took on Merritt Island on Friday. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1.

Rowan Kage paced Gainesville's offense, picking up nine kills. Kage got some help from Charlotte Judge and her 17 assists.

Gainesville now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Merritt Island, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Gainesville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against True North Classical Academy on the 30th. As for Merritt Island, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against La Cueva on the 30th.
