Volleyball Recap: Savannah Arts Academy Takes a Loss

The Savannah Arts Academy Panthers came up short against the Brunswick Pirates on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Savannah Arts Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19.

Ellie Ayala paced Savannah Arts Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Ayala got some help from Natalie Lehto and her eight assists. Maggie Allen controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Savannah Arts Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Brunswick, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Savannah Arts Academy will square off against Greenbrier at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brunswick, they will be taking part in a tournament against Evans at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
