Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Central Valley's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Central Valley hadn't done well against Cross County recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Central Valley walked away with a 3-1 win over Cross County. For Central Valley, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory Cross County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Central Valley walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-19, 15-25, 25-12, 25-16.

Chloe Johnston and Finley Peterson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Johnston had 21 digs and three aces, while Peterson had 14 assists and nine digs. Johnston is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Central Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Cross County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-5.

Central Valley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Palmer on the 7th. As for Cross County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against H&H on the 30th.
