Softball Recap: J.F. Webb Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

J.F. Webb took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Carrboro, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors won by a run and slipped past the Jaguars 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Jaguars on Tuesday, they had to take a 14-2 defeat.

Terrie Thornton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

J.F. Webb pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Carrboro, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

As of now, neither J.F. Webb nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
