Bishop Gorman had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-0 win over the Centennial Bulldogs. The victory was familiar territory for the Gaels, who have now won ten games in a row dating back to last season.

A big part of Bishop Gorman's win came down to the chemistry between Maika Eugenio and his top target Zyren Menor. Eugenio threw for 233 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 8-for-8 passing while Menor picked up 146 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 146 receiving yards gave Menor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braylen Rayford, who rushed for 56 yards and one score.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Bishop Gorman proved: they limited Centennial to a paltry 0.8 yards per carry. The team can thank J'Siah Leasau for the heroic effort on defense: he. Bishop Gorman didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.9.

Bishop Gorman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Another thorn in Centennial's side was Prince Williams, who picked up two sacks and made eight total tackles (7.0 for loss).
