Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brandon Valencia and Andy Lobos Lead Central City Value to Victory

Central City Value's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 37-26 victory over the Annenberg Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-37 back in December of 2024.

Central City Value was led to victory by Andy Lobos and Brandon Valencia. Lobos dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Valencia posted 12 points along with eight steals and six boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Lobos a new career-high.

Central City Value is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Annenberg, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Central City Value will challenge Animo Venice at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Rashad Johnson and Lobos. As for Annenberg, they will square off against Downtown Magnets at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
