After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, Safford was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Sabino Sabercats 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Sabercats: they've now won six in a row.

Safford was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-9, 25-17.

Rhylie Klajda paced Safford's offense, picking up nine kills. Klajda got some help from Jazzlyn Mortensen and her 13 assists. Marina Balistreri controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Safford's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Sabino, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Safford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Show Low on the 20th. As for Sabino, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Tanque Verde on the 21st.
