Basketball Recap: Van Buren Takes a Loss

Van Buren lost against Russellville back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Van Buren Pointers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to the Russellville Cyclones.

Van Buren's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Russellville, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.

The future could be bright for both Van Buren and Russellville: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Van Buren will look to extend Mountain Home's four-game losing streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Russellville will try to hand Siloam Springs their sixth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
