It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Fairfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Whiteoak Wildcats 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in April, they had to take a 8-4 loss.
