Football Recap: Kenton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 35-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Memorial Roughriders. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Roughriders are ranked 108th).

When it comes to explaining why Kenton lost, don't look at Xavier Gammon. Despite the final result, he threw for 397 yards and three TDs while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries. The Wildcats' leading receiver Zayne Perkins was Gammon's top target yet again, picking up 144 receiving yards and one score.

Kenton's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Memorial, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.
