Forest Park won the last time they faced L'Anse and things went their way on Thursday too. The Forest Park Trojans put the hurt on the L'Anse Purple Hornets with a sharp 83-59 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, L'Anse saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sam Lee posted 18 points along with five assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Lee a new career-high in assists. Maysen Thompson was another key player, putting up eight points.

Forest Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points over those games. L'Anse is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Forest Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for L'Anse, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-48 defeat against Johnston on the 21st.
