Santee hadn't done well against Dr. Maya Angelou Community recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Falcons came out on top against the Phoenix by a score of 3-1. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Phoenix walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Santee was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-20, 16-25, 25-18.

Santee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Dr. Maya Angelou Community, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Santee will face off against rival Manual Arts at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dr. Maya Angelou Community is set to square off against their familiar foe Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
