Basketball Recap: Germantown Takes a Loss

Germantown lost against Bartlett back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Germantown Red Devils took a blow against the Bartlett Panthers, falling 85-49. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Panthers are ranked third).

This is the second loss in a row for Germantown and nudges their season record down to 11-8. As for Bartlett, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Germantown will host Houston at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Houston's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Bartlett, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bartlett Panthers face off against the Southwind Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwind is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.
