Recap: Canterbury Crusaders vs. American Collegiate Academy Rough Riders

The Canterbury Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 60-43 fall against American Collegiate Academy. Canterbury found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post ten fewer assists than your opponent.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charles Wilder, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilder has scored all season. Kayden Calhoun was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds.

American Collegiate Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marcus Green out in front who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Green has scored at least a third of American Collegiate Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamaal Caldwell, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 1 assist.

Canterbury has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for American Collegiate Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Canterbury will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Sarasota Christian at 7:00 p.m. As for American Collegiate Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
