Softball Game Preview: Harrold Hornets vs. Knox City Greyhounds

The Harrold Hornets will challenge the Knox City Greyhounds at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrold has given up an average of 15.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Harrold lost 21-8 to Northside on Friday.

Abrianna Albineda made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Lilly Welch was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

Meanwhile, Knox City entered their tilt with Munday on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 19-16 victory over the Moguls. That's two games straight that the Greyhounds have won by exactly three runs.

Knox City got a massive performance out of Kinlee Eaton, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Eaton is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reyna Alvarez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Knox City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Harrold's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Knox City, their win bumped their record up to 3-4-1.
