Baseball Recap: Ludlowe's Run of Six Straight Victories Now Over

Ludlowe and Glastonbury squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Ludlowe had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Guardians by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Falcons have suffered since April 2nd.

Ludlowe got a good showing from Luke Stasko, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits Stasko has allowed since back in April.

On the hitting side, Brennan Davis and Kenny Luczaj stepped up to the plate in a big way. Davis went 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Luczaj went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

With the loss, Ludlowe broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-8. As for Glastonbury, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-14.

While Ludlowe had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
