Softball Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

Heritage lost to Arthur-Okaw Christian back in April of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hawks came up short against the Conquering Riders, falling 21-2.

Heritage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Latham, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Coming up, Heritage will be playing in front of their home fans against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.7 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they will square off against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
