Softball Recap: Washougal Comes Up Short

Washougal lost against R.A. Long back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 16-5 to the Lumberjacks. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stella Genova made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases.

Washougal's record is now 1-7. As for R.A. Long, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6-1.

Coming up, Washougal will square off against Mark Morris at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Monarchs will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for R.A. Long, they will face off against Woodland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lumberjacks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Beavers have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
