Softball Recap: Bellefonte's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Bellefonte dropped their record down to 5-2 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell 5-0 to the Bald Eagle Area Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Bald Eagle Area, their record now sits at 6-3. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Bellefonte: they've now won three in a row.

For Bald Eagle Area's part, the result came thanks to Sierra Albright's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. Albright has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Maelee Yoder and Sydney Thompson did most of the damage at the plate: Yoder went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double, while Thompson went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Bellefonte didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Bishop McCort on the 23rd. As for Bald Eagle Area, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Clearfield at 4:30 p.m.
