Baseball Recap: Lakeway Christian Academy Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Lakeway Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Union County on Monday, but Union County never followed suit. They came out on top against the Union County Patriots by a score of 3-0. The three-run effort marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Chasen Lovin tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Hudson Ford was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Union County, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5-1.

Lakeway Christian Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Union County: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
