Pope John Paul II is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Brentwood Academy 5-4. That's two games straight that Pope John Paul II have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Rossview came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Rossview, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

Rossview pushed their record up to 8-2-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matches. As for Pope John Paul II, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6-2.

Pope John Paul II couldn't quite get it done against Rossview in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 as they fell 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
