After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beal City, McBain was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Evart Wildcats 3-2. For the Ramblers, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

The team relied heavily on Alan Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

McBain moved to 6-4-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Evart, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5-1.

Coming up, McBain will welcome Pine River Area at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Evart, they will venture away from home to square off against Reed City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
