Baseball Recap: Pleasantville Comes Up Short

Pleasantville lost against St. Joseph on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greyhounds lost 19-1 to the Wildcats. The contest marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Pleasantville and nudges their season record down to 5-10. As for St. Joseph, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Pleasantville and St. Joseph could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Greyhounds (ranked 348th) will meet Absegami (ranked 136th) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Joseph will challenge Hammonton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (292 vs. 24).
