Baseball Recap: Sunset Park Gets the Win

Sunset Park's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the South Shore Vikings 12-11. That's more bragging rights for the HEAT, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Marcel Cruz was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Steven Espinoza was another key player, going 1-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Sunset Park moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for South Shore, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Sunset Park will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Brooklyn Prospect at 4:00 p.m. As for South Shore, they will head out to take on Petrides at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
