Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Riverside Prep). They put the hurt on the University Prep Jaguars with a sharp  25-1 win on Thursday. The  victory continues a trend for the Silver Knights in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won eight in a row.
 Thomas Salazar led a balanced Silver Knights bullpen and   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Riverside Prep is undefeated when  Salazar allows one or  fewer  hits, but 6-7 otherwise.
 On the hitting side, Riverside Prep let  Victor Herrera and  Ethyn Beltran run wild. Herrera  went 4-for-6 with four  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base, while  Beltran  got on base  in four of his six plate appearances with four  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  runs gave  Beltran a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Andrew Logsdon, who  got on base  in four of his six plate appearances with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  RBI.
 Riverside Prep  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as University Prep struck out 16 times.
Riverside Prep's record now sits at 13-7. As for University Prep,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside Prep will challenge Big Bear at 3:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.08  runs per game on average), something the Silver Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for University Prep, they will face off against Hesperia at 10:00  a.m.  on  the 26th.
