Basketball Game Preview: Alonso Ravens vs. Leto Falcons

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Alonso Ravens take on the Leto Falcons at 8:00 p.m. on Friday... Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Alonso fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Chamberlain on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Storm.

Meanwhile, Leto was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 59-53 to Bloomingdale. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Bulls are ranked 190th).

Alonso's record now sits at 6-9. As for Leto, their record is now 3-12.

Alonso might still be hurting after the 54-30 defeat they got from Leto when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Alonso avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
