Basketball Game Preview: Copley Indians vs. Lutheran West Longhorns

The Copley Indians will challenge the Lutheran West Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Copley is headed into the game having just posted their biggest win since December 28, 2024 last Saturday. They put the hurt on Stow-Munroe Falls with a sharp 65-43 victory.

Meanwhile, Lutheran West didn't have too much trouble with Roosevelt on Saturday as they won 70-56. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Rough Riders are ranked 455th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lutheran West pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points over those games. As for Copley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.
