Fordyce and Junction City are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Redbugs will be playing at home against the Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Fordyce's offense. They came up short against Woodlawn on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Redbugs in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Junction City lost 14-4 to Camden Fairview on Thursday. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Junction City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Cates, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Cates hit this season.

Fordyce's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Junction City, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Fordyce beat Junction City 6-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Redbugs repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
