Basketball Game Preview: Cadott Hornets vs. Mondovi Buffaloes

The Cadott Hornets will face off against the Mondovi Buffaloes at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cadott is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Cadott came up into this matchup off a tough 33-point loss back in December of 2024. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Spencer by a score of 57-54 on Friday.

Despite their defeat, Cadott saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Taylor Hager, who posted 21 points and six steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Kasey Moldrem, who had 12 points.

Even though they lost, Cadott was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Mondovi unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 38-30 to Luther. The contest marked the Buffaloes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mondovi's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Cadott, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Cadott beat Mondovi 56-46 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cadott since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
