Softball Game Preview: Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats vs. West Limestone Wildcats

Westminster Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against West Limestone recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Westminster Christian Academy will head out to square off against West Limestone at 5:00 p.m. West Limestone took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Westminster Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

Westminster Christian Academy will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Randolph School on Thursday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Raiders. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, West Limestone is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of South Warren. The Wildcats fell 5-2 to the Spartans.

Lilly Bethune made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Westminster Christian Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Limestone, their defeat dropped their record down to 28-4.
