Basketball Recap: Village Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Village Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Berean Baptist Academy Bulldogs 75-27. The matchup marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Berean Baptist Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Caldwell, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was Caldwell's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Jeremiah Harper was another key player, going 8 for 15 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

Village Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Berean Baptist Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Village Christian Academy has already played their next match (against Northwood Temple Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Berean Baptist Academy will square off against Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berean Baptist Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Trinity Christian likes a good challenge.
