Los Angeles Leadership Academy had won three straight home games dating back to last season and Daniel Duarte did his part to make it four on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus Tigers with plenty of help from Duarte, who had 29 assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last three times he's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 25-14, 25-9.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions face off against New Designs University Park Cardinals at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. After both having extra time off, Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus and Smidt Tech will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
