They came out on top in a nail-biter against Frontier School of Excellence, sneaking past 61-59. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The Daniel Academy found their leader in freshman Noah Maldinado, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, Maldinado is now averaging an impressive 8.5 rebounds per game. Riley Rose was another key player, putting up 14 points.

The Daniel Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Frontier STEM played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 44-23 to St. Vincent de Paul Academy. Frontier STEM has struggled against St. Vincent de Paul Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The Daniel Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Frontier STEM, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything came up roses for The Daniel Academy against Frontier STEM in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 57-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
