Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln County vs. Commerce

Lincoln County is 1-9 against Commerce since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Red Devils will square off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Lincoln County didn't have quite enough to beat Banks County and fell 2-1.

The Red Devils' goal came courtesy of Andrew Washington, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Commerce lost 6-1 to Stephens County on Tuesday.

Lincoln County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Commerce, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lincoln County was able to grind out a solid victory over Commerce in their previous matchup last Tuesday, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
