Baseball Recap: Vasquez Comes Up Short

Vasquez extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 17-7 in the process. They fell 4-0 to the Trinity Classical Academy Knights. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

As for Trinity Classical Academy, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Vasquez: they've now won seven in a row.

For Trinity Classical Academy's part, Andrew Carlson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave Carlson a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4.

Carlson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was John Carlson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

As of now, neither Vasquez nor Trinity Classical Academy have any future games scheduled.
