Volleyball Recap: Tri-County Comes Up Short

Tri-County had taken Wild Rose down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Penguins fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The Penguins' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Tri-County started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-17.

Zoey Baughman paced Tri-County's offense, picking up six kills. Baughman got some help from Addyson Rettler and her seven assists. Natalie Rasmussen controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Tri-County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Wild Rose, their record now sits at 5-6.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Tri-County and Port Edwards will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wild Rose, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Tigerton on the 2nd.
