Football Recap: Worthing Takes a Loss

If Worthing was riding high fresh off their 52-0 takedown of Kashmere last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colts were dealt a 41-7 defeat at the hands of the North Forest Bulldogs on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the Colts' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Lashun Gray continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Forest, throwing for 218 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes. Those 218 passing yards gave Gray a new career-high.

Worthing's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Forest, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Worthing will challenge rival Yates at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th. Meanwhile, North Forest is set to take on their familiar foe Kashmere at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
