Huntington and Franklin squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Huntington had to settle for second. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Red Devils' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Caden Carney made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Huntington's defeat dropped their record down to 27-7-1. As for Franklin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 24 of their last 26 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-5-1 record this season.

While Huntington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
