Basketball Game Preview: Lee Park Prep Knights vs. South Charlotte Thunder

The Lee Park Prep Knights will take on the South Charlotte Thunder at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee Park Prep has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 218 points over their last three games.

Last Friday, Lee Park Prep blew past Sheets Memorial Christian, posting a 63-26 victory. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Lee Park Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cole O' Donoghue led the charge by going 6 for 12 en route to 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Isaac Watkins, who posted eight points in addition to eight steals and five boards.

Meanwhile, South Charlotte played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Charlotte Elite Academy, falling 62-41. The loss continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Soldiers: they've now lost three in a row.

Lee Park Prep's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for South Charlotte, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
