Football Game Preview: Glencoe Crimson Tide vs. McMinnville Grizzlies

The Glencoe Crimson Tide will head out on the road to face off against the McMinnville Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Glencoe has three straight victories, McMinnville has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Glencoe will bounce into Friday's game after beating Newberg, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Crimson Tide came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 42-34 on Friday.

Daniel Heninger produced another solid effort rushing for 384 yards and four scores while picking up 11.0 yards per carry, and also picking up 56 receiving yards and one touchdown. Heninger is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 186 every time he's taken the field this season.

Heninger was just one part of a punishing run game: Glencoe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 452 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 200 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, McMinnville was not quite Century's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 21-17 to the Jaguars.

Glencoe's record now sits at 7-1. As for McMinnville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Glencoe came up short against McMinnville in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 35-28. Can the Crimson Tide avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
