Basketball Game Preview: Churchland Truckers vs. Manor Mustangs

Churchland hasn't had much luck against Manor recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Churchland Truckers will host the Manor Mustangs at 3:00 p.m.

On Friday, Churchland took a blow against Maury, falling 63-23. While losing is never fun, the Truckers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Commodores are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Manor had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They claimed a resounding 84-9 win over the Mighty Bookers. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Manor's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Churchland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
