Basketball Recap: Alcovy's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

It was a proper cat-fight when Alcovy challenged Jackson County on Tuesday. The Alcovy Tigers came out on top against the Jackson County Panthers by a score of 68-58. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Panthers are ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Alcovy and bumps their season record up to 11-5. As for Jackson County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Loganville the next time they take the court. Alcovy will head out to face Loganville at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, while Jackson County will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
