Volleyball Game Preview: Bishop Ward Cyclones vs. Kansas City Christian School Panthers

Bishop Ward hasn't had much luck against Kansas City Christian School recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cyclones are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers. Bishop Ward will be strutting in after a win while Kansas City Christian School will be coming in after a loss.

Bishop Ward hadn't beaten Sumner Academy on the road since October 9, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Cyclones walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Sabres.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bishop Ward was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Kansas City Christian School didn't have quite enough to beat Northland Christian on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Panthers haven't had much luck with Northland Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Kansas City Christian School took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-9, 18-25, 26-24, 15-8.

Bishop Ward's win bumped their record up to 3-14-6. As for Kansas City Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8-1.

Bishop Ward suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Kansas City Christian School when the teams last played on Thursday. Can the Cyclones avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
