Softball Recap: Overhills Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Overhills finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to the Triton Hawks. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Overhills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laila Daniel, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Daniel is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Sophia Caston also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Overhills' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Triton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Triton beat Overhills by a score of 19-6 on Friday.
