Volleyball Game Preview: Chaparral Pumas vs. Murrieta Mesa Rams

Chaparral hasn't had much luck against Murrieta Mesa recently, but that could start to change on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Chaparral took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Wednesday. They blew past Corona 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Pumas this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Murrieta Mesa entered their tilt with Santa Rosa Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Rangers. The Rams not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 27th.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Murrieta Mesa took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-14.

The victory got Chaparral back to even at 7-7. As for Murrieta Mesa, they pushed their record up to 26-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road.
