Baseball Game Preview: Cuero Gobblers vs. San Antonio Memorial Minutemen

Cuero is a perfect 4-0 against San Antonio Memorial since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Gobblers will face off against the Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Cuero fell victim to Sinton and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Gobblers haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, San Antonio Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-0 to John F. Kennedy.

San Antonio Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Cuero, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Everything went Cuero's way against San Antonio Memorial in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Cuero made off with a 23-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gobblers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
